Check in for your Pandaw trip at 11:00am, meet the crew, and have lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit the Killing Fields and Genocide Museum to learn about the Khmer Rouge regime. You’ll stay overnight at Phnom Penh city port, where there are bars, restaurants, and nightlife nearby. Explore the city before returning to your boat.
You leave Phnom Penh early in the morning and sail up the Tonle Sap River to Kampong Tralach. Ride an ox-cart through riverside villages, markets, and temples to see what life is like in rural Cambodia. In the evening, have cocktails by a fire pit in a small fishing village, where locals join in to share stories and show you their traditional dances.
In the morning, travel by coach to the ancient capital of Cambodia, Oudong, where you visit the Vipassana Dhura Meditation Centre. Walk around the vast complex with its impressive Khmer architecture and experience a short meditation class to quieten your mind. Re-join the ship at Prek Kdam before sailing back onto the Mekong proper during lunch. This afternoon, step ashore at Pak Russei, a small and remote village on the banks of the Mekong. Explore on foot and visit local craftspeople weaving silk and producing handmade noodles. Before returning to the ship, learn about the ancient art of Bokator, a traditional form of martial art with a private performance in the village.
Enjoy morning Tai Chi or just a coffee on deck as you take a sunrise cruise to Peam Chi Korng, an untouched gem that is a hub of pottery in Cambodia. After a short tuk tuk ride from the banks of the Mekong, witness the local potters in action before continuing to explore the village and local fresh market, where you can test your language skills. In the afternoon, continue sailing along the mighty Mekong to Steung Trang, your final destination, before the crew provides some final evening entertainment and a sumptuous farewell dinner is prepared by the kitchen team.

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
Very well ececuted. Hily recomended. Great experiance

I've worked with Adventure Life before in planning trips and appreciate the quality of trips they put together. They use knowledgeable local guides, comfortable lodgings, and assist with transportation. I find trip planning stressful, so am happy to turn it over to them. They work within our parameters of time, budget, activity level, and types of activities to give us great experiences!

We have been working with Adventure Life for 5 years now and it is very easy to plan out our trips. Our holidays include customization of activities and side trips along with the standard packages available on the Adventure Life website. Kevin, Jess, Mary Rose and their teams have many recommendations that have enhanced our travel.

We went to the Patagonia on the Chile side and Perito Moreno in El Calafate, Argentina. Eric of San Diego handled our trip with expertise. The preparation went smoothly, despite some changes on our part with scheduling conflicts. He offered great advice which made us feel at ease with all decisions on the trip. It was truly a great experience.
