HIKES

Laguna Ramaditas (1 hr | 3 km (1.9mi) | Easy | Half-Day)

Participants walk along Ramaditas Lagoon, following a trail that leads to a canyon merging with paths around the water. The Andean landscape surrounds the route, offering sightings of eaglets, flamingos, and Andean gulls, along with traces of Altiplano wildlife.

Laguna Honda (6 hrs | 10 km (6.2mi) | Moderate | Full-Day)
The journey begins at the Mountain Lodge, with a hike leading to Honda Lagoon. The route descends through hill passes, showcasing a changing landscape where yareta moss grows in contrast to the arid Atacama-Ramaditas terrain.

Yardangs (8.5 hrs | 18.8 km (11.7mi) | Advanced | Full-Day)
From Ramaditas Mountain Lodge, explorers travel to Pastos Grandes, passing wetlands and reaching hoodoos, petroglyphs, and yardang formations. Along the way, they encounter birds, vicunas, and vizcachas.

OVERLAND

Lagunas Andinas Overland (6 hrs | 115 km (71.5mi) | Easy | Full-Day)
This overland journey visits the Cachi and Pastos Grandes Lagoons, with a walk along Salada Lagoon’s shore, where vicunas and flamingos are commonly seen. The excursion includes a lunch stop in the Altiplano, enjoying the views and Andean winds.

ALTA MONTANA

Volcan Ascotan (9 hrs | 10.7 km (6.6mi) | Advanced | Full-Day)
The ascent to Volcan Ascotan follows trails lined with yareta moss, grasses, and shrubs. As altitude increases, Honda, Char Kota, and Hedionda Lagoons come into view. The volcano is known for its vibrant colors, earning the nickname “Ascotan Garden”.
