We decided to take a day and discover the nearby attractions of Black Rock Lodge. Trails, caves, and of course the river offered plenty of activities to occupy our adventurous nature. We started our day with a hike up a mountain trail that brought us to a small cave. The cave had five different chambers that were connected by small crawl spaces. Samuel was more than eager to explore all the chambers. I was able to follow Samuel to four of the chambers, and Beth’s limit was two. The crawl spaces flared up our claustrophobia.

After hiking down the mountain we desperately needed to cool down. We were not accustomed to the heat and humidity. Fortunately for us the river provided the necessary relief. Directly below the lodge was a sandy beach along the river where we spent the rest of the day swimming and launching ourselves from a rope swing into the water.

Jess was great. Our plans changed and we had to make some adjustments and she was super helpful. Finding us a cost-effective alternative to our original trip plan.

I've worked with Adventure Life before in planning trips and appreciate the quality of trips they put together. They use knowledgeable local guides, comfortable lodgings, and assist with transportation. I find trip planning stressful, so am happy to turn it over to them. They work within our parameters of time, budget, activity level, and types of activities to give us great experiences!

Jess was so helpful in talking me through some of the trip options I'd told her I was interested in, and then also bringing up similar alternatives with more flexible dates. Now that everything is booked I realize all the extra things she figured out for us as well, besides booking the transfers from and to each location, she realized that we wouldn't make it to my desired flight time on three departure date and was able to easily add another day so that even our departure day is stress free!
