November through April are the best times to visit Belize since it's the dry season when sunny skies bring people from around the world to discover Mayan ruins, hike through the jungle and relax on tropical beaches.

The Central American country is home to an incredible diversity of flora and fauna, has active endeavors and a wealth of cultural attractions, and enjoys tropical weather during the cold months in the states and Europe. November
Belize has 240 miles of coastline that includes the Belize Barrier Reef, home to a wide array of marine life and sitting off the coast of 400 tropical beaches. Sea turtles, 500 species of fish, and sharks, and dolphins all inhabit the region. It is part of the second-largest reef system in the world. November is when the dry season begins- the middle and end of the month are great times to kayak, snorkel, and soak up the sunshine or combine the coast with a jungle trip.

December
December on the coast sees parades of boats celebrating the holiday season. Inland, the jungle has Maya ruins to explore, caves to discover, and rivers to float down while taking in the natural surroundings around you. The holidays start at the beginning of the month and continue until the New Year, making visiting the
country's cities an immersion in the culture that combines festive traditions from all over the world.

January
January’s warm temperatures and sunshine make it a fun time to explore the jungle. More than half of Belize is rainforest, home to monkeys, jaguars, tapirs, and more than 500 species of birds. Ziplines through the canopy, biking, and horse riding trips, and relaxing at secluded retreats with spa treatments make discovering flora and fauna of the region an elegant adventure. The month is one of the most popular for travelers as rain showers aren’t as frequent and only last a few hours late in the day when they occur.

February
February in Belize sees carnival celebrations around the country, including on Ambergris Caye, where street parties, masked balls, live bands, dancing, and parades take over the town of San Pedro. For active endeavors away from the party, try a sea kayaking excursion, deep-sea fishing, or diving before heading back to the festivities.

March
March in Central America welcomes families taking a break from the winter months abroad. Beachside villas lead the way to exploring the coast, jungle trips, biking, snorkeling, and paddleboarding while enjoying the comforts of home with the whole crew.

One celebration in March unique to Belize is Baron Bliss Day. The holiday celebrates Baron Bliss, who willed almost 2 million dollars to the people of Belize used for monuments, a school of nursing, a library, a lighthouse, medical centers, and public works projects.

April
April in Belize finds warmer temperatures balanced by brief cooling rain showers. Easter is celebrated all over the country, from beach parties in Placencia on the coast to an annual countrywide bike race where festivals and events are held in the towns and villages along the route. The month is also a great time to visit Half Moon Cay, where the chicks of the immense red-footed booby colony in reserve have hatched.
