The falls straddle the border between Argentina and Brazil, and we'll explore the Argentine side to get up close to the plummeting water. With a few more days, visit the subtropical rainforest and discover the thousands of species of flowering plants, butterflies, birds and mammals that make this their home. We offer both 3 and 5 day itineraries in Iguazu.
Highlights
View the falls from the below on the Argentinian side
Explore the falls by zodiac and get up close to falls in Devil's Throat
Get an up close view of the falls from the two walking circuits
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Today set out for your first glimpse of the falls by exploring the Argentinean side of Iguazu Falls and watch the cascading water from various angles. Begin the day by boarding a small train to Devil's Throat Station, where there's a suspended walkway with spectacular views.
Later explore the two walking circuits, beginning with the upper walk. This is about a quarter-mile long and takes approximately 45 minutes. From here you can see the Two Sisters, Bosseti, Adam and Eve, Bernabe Mendez, Mbiguá and San Martín Falls. The lower circuit has been described as the "most beautiful thousand meter walk in the world." Heading in a clockwise direction you get a very different perspective of the falls; watch out when you get to the middle of the walkway - you might get wet!!
This afternoon you will make your way through the jungle in a rugged 4x4 vehicle, traveling the limited-access Yacaratia Trail to nearby Puerto Macuco (minimum age requirement of 12 years). Here you will leave the truck behind for an inflatable speedboat, in which you'll navigate four miles (7 kms) along the lower Iguazu River. Bring your swimsuit and be prepared to get wet in the refreshingly cool spray from the falls! Approaching the picturesque falls in Devil's Throat Canyon, you'll brave a mile of rapids before finishing your adventure surrounding San Martin Island. Return with zodiacs to Macuco port and back to the hotel.

Good to ideal period to travel, and many people choose to visit at this time.
Kate was great to work with in the planning stage. She was prompt, helpful, and efficient. Our tour guide, Edwin, was knowledgeable and passionate. We were very happy to have traveled with Adventure Life, it made the trip easy and a true pleasure. We could concentrate on enjoying the experience rather than the details of travel.
