Brian was nextToday we packed up for our late afternoon flight back to BA, but had one more side trip planned: to visit the Wanda Mines, where Amethyst and Quartz are mined. We had a terrific local guide who took us into the mines and explained how the miners chisel out the geodes by hand...very impressive. We saw some beautiful stones, then of course bought some in the gift shop...a fun side trip!
We flew back to AEP in the early evening, and Danny left us to go back to his host family, while the 3 of us headed to The Savoy Hotel for the night.
Erin was great to work with! Very quick with her replies and provided all the information I needed, no matter how many times I changed my request! This was my first time ever planning a trip like this and it couldn't have gone better.
