Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Arrive in Winnipeg, Manitoba and transfer to an airport hotel. Once settled in to your hotel, join your Arctic Kingdom Expedition Leader and the rest of the group for a meet and greet and evening beverage.
Depart early for your flight to Churchill where this exciting polar bear adventure begins. Upon arrival in Churchill, be transferred to the hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the morning exploring Churchill with a town tour. Visit the Eskimo Museum and the Parks Canada Visitor Centre and take in the sights and sounds of this charming town known as the “Polar Bear Capital of the World”. After lunch at a local restaurant, get the chance to try a true northern experience – dog sledding! After working up an appetite in the great outdoors, gather for dinner and then have some time for last minute shopping before boarding the train to Chesnaye. Arrive at the lodge in the evening at approximately 10:30 pm.
The highlight of the next few days is to witness the grace and majesty of mother polar bears in their natural habitat, while their cubs tumble and explore. On snowmobiles, scouts track the polar bears. When they find their dens they radio the location to heated, tracked vans so you can head over. On some days, you can enjoy visits to known den locations, while on other days, you may spend time seeking a new one. Travel time from the lodge to the dens vary depending on where the den sites are, but you can generally expect a 20 minute to 1 hour or more drive to den sites.
After breakfast, return by train to Churchill, arriving in the early afternoon. Transfer to the airport, and depart for Winnipeg. Overnight in Winnipeg at the airport hotel.

Good to ideal period to travel, and many people choose to visit at this time.
The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
kevin Moore, our agent, is very knowledgeable about the tours and details, and researches quickly any follow up ?s.
