Once there, we found our lodging beautiful and comfortableLife for the indigenous people is rather different from what we are used to. We visited a local family. The little girls were a bit shy at first, but soon were all smiles. They prepared us a traditional meal of heart-of-palm, roasted bananas, bread fruit nuts, yuca (similar to potatoes) and larva on a stick. And yes they were tasty.
