Day 1: Traveling to Ecuador

Hello everyone!!!
This is Justin! I am creating this blog to show everyone the adventures we had on the Amazon!! ^_^ Thanks to Adventure Life, we were fortunate to plan a trip to the Amazon Rainforest, which was located in eastern Ecuador! The main reason why we were going to the Amazon was for the opportunity to go bird watching and see a variety of different plants that specialize in the various ecosystems within the rainforest.
The journey to Ecuador was very interesting! Most of the international flights that occurred in Ecuador arrived early in the morning! From Chicago, IL, we had to fly to Houston, Texas. From there we would have a five hour journey to Quito, Ecuador! The flight was alright, but one of the best parts was flying over Quito around 12:00am! The cityscape that was surrounded by mountains looked truly amazing!!
We were met at the airport by Adventure Life representatives. We traveled a small distance from the airport to our hotel, which was located in a Quito suburb! When we got to our hotel, we were greeted by stray dogs that were located on the streets and roof tops of the local houses. They liked to bark and wag their tails if anyone was in the alley way.
The hotel was very fancy and had a plethora of gardens! The layout of the place looked amazing! They made sure to have a large amount of lillies, roses, and other flowers everywhere! We had a good nights rest, because tomorrow would be our first main day of adventure!!!
This was the corridor hallway of our hotel.

Here were some of the local "roof dogs" spreading their cheerful barks early in the morning across the neighborhood. ^_^;
