River canoeWe hiked a great deal today, and through a lot of different terrain. The diversity of ecosystems in the Galapagos is not to be underestimated. At times we felt like we were almost on another planet, like mars, walking through (or next to) lava rock, and black deserts. On one side of the island you will have a beautiful white beach, and then on the other it's rock and much more desert like, with cactus instead of palm trees.
