Despite their past abuse and involvement in wildlife trafficking, these animals now thrive on the island, often approaching visitors unexpectedly. As you interact with them, you might find a curious spider monkey or a red-faced Uakari reaching out for your hand. Along with photographing these primates, you'll have the opportunity to learn about their rescue, rehabilitation, and eventual release back into the wild.
Return to the ship and savor the delightful dishes prepared by the chef. In the afternoon, visit the Yagua native community, where the local chief will share the story of how their ancestors chose to settle near the impressive Lupuna tree, believed to protect the forest. Before departing, participate in a unique ceremony by planting a tree in the heart of the Amazon. Contribute to our reforestation efforts and leave a lasting positive mark on the rainforest.
Back on the cruise ship, the chef will lead a very entertaining cooking class. The local shaman will visit after dinner and share some of his spiritual practices and traditional medicine made from medicinal plants.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast on board as you navigate along the Napo River toward the historic town of Orellana. Named after Francisco de Orellana, the Spanish conquistador who explored the confluence of the Coca and Napo Rivers during his sixteenth-century Amazon expeditions, this town is steeped in history. Gather in the charming town square and listen to your guide’s captivating stories about the Amazonian warrior women and Orellana’s legendary ghost ship. After departing the village, embark the skiff and en head to a quiet spot on the river for a relaxing morning of fishing.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
Wonderful personal attention to detail and very helpful suggestions by experienced travel experts

I selected Adventure Travel as I was not satisfied with the responsiveness of the agent for the cruise I was trying to book and it had good recommendations. So far, I am quite happy with my agent, Betty, very responsive and accommodating.
