Upon arrival in the Amazon city of Iquitos, the crew will be waiting at the airport to welcome you. A private, comfortable vehicle will transfer you and your fellow travelers to Nauta, ensuring a smooth and relaxing journey. Enjoy a delicious lunchbox as the adventure begins, allowing you to savor a taste of the Amazon while taking in the passing landscapes.

Upon reaching the riverside town of Nauta, one of the oldest settlements in the Loreto region, a VIP reception awaits at a private port along the Marañón River. This exclusive welcome sets the tone for the extraordinary journey ahead. The crew will guide you to the awaiting vessel, where you will step aboard the luxurious Delfin, your home for the expedition.

Once onboard, the attentive staff will escort you to a beautifully designed suite, thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for comfort and relaxation. Enjoy orthopedic beds, soft cotton sheets, and natural latex pillows for restful sleep. Each suite also features air conditioning, a private bathroom with a Spanish-style hot water shower, and plush cotton bathrobes. At the Amazon Natural Park, experience an unparalleled adventure on the only Canopy Walkway in this region. Suspended over 25 meters (85 feet) above the ground and stretching 500 meters (one-third of a mile), this walkway offers a rare perspective of the rainforest from the treetops. Accessible to all, it provides a unique vantage point to observe Amazonian wildlife and flora up close. As you journey through the towering trees, meet Carola, a highly respected spiritual healer known as a "White" shaman. Her deep knowledge and guidance have made her an essential figure in the jungle communities. Cruise through the pristine waters of the Yanayacu and Pucate Rivers, renowned as one of the best-preserved areas of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. For a more intimate experience, paddle a kayak through the calm waters, getting up close to the fascinating wildlife. Try your hand at fishing for the legendary piranhas, an iconic Amazonian species. After dinner, venture into the jungle for an enchanting night walk, where the rainforest comes alive with the sounds and movements of nocturnal creatures. Witness the Amazon’s hidden wonders as the forest reveals its secrets under the cover of darkness.

Nauta Caño Creek is known for squirrel and silver back tamarillo monkeys, birds, dolphins, and even sloths! skim the riverbanks for small caimans and spiders, as well as insects of all colors, shapes and sizes.

The walk at Fundo Casual jungle trail will take you deep into the rainforest on terra firme (non-flooded forest) where your guide will point out the dynamic creatures and vegetation of the Amazon. Be sure to keep an attentive eye open for spotting surprises! Its almost unbelieveable how with every step you find something along the way. Almost definitely Anaconda, Rainbow Boas, Tarantulas, Poison Frogs, and most recently porquepines have been spotted. This is one of the very few places in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve Amazon Rainforest where you will spot the ever so elusive 2-toed sloth.

On board the skiffs, you will visit a community to meet local villagers who have called Amazonia their home for generations. You may step into a typical schoolhouse where the children will be very happy to have visitors, and then stop by an area to see the women of this community who have a most amazing arts & craft market. Better known as the “Unión de los Ríos” toast and witness the distinguished colors of the 3 rivers. It is known that the Ucayali River, which in turn confluences with the Marañón River upstream of Iquitos, Peru, to form what countries other than Brazil consider to be the main stem of the Amazon River.

After breakfast, the staff will wish you farewell as you begin your departure. At the port of Nauta, the ground crew will be waiting to take you by private vehicle back to the city of Iquitos, about 95 kilometers journey by paved road. On your way from Nauta back to Iquitos airport, you will visit the Rescue & Rehabilitation Center of River Mammals (Amazon Forever) where you will have the chance to meet baby manatees and learn about these wonderful and docile creatures and why they are on the endangered species list. As well, there are also some other animals cared for by the center that have been rescued from capture for the intention of being turned into pets and other threatening conditions. You are welcome to donate to this ambitious organization and education center as you wish. The land personnel will wait for you at the airport and give your boarding passes and help you check in.

At Crnl. FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport in Iquitos, the staff will assist with luggage and check-in procedures, ensuring a seamless departure. The return flight will take travelers directly to Lima, Peru’s vibrant capital. At the security gate, the guide and Delfin crew will offer their final goodbyes, leaving cherished memories of an unforgettable Amazon adventure.
