Chau Doc is a city located along the Hau Giang River (the Bassac River) in Vietnam. The Bassac River is a short boat ride away from the Mekong Delta. Chau Doc borders Cambodia making it an excellent destination to spend your last or first night in Vietnam on a Mekong River Cruise. Being a border town, Chau Doc has an extremely blended and diverse culture and hold people of all ethnicities including Chinese, Cham, and Khmer communities. This means the temples, food, and even language of this city are a unique blend of these multiple ancient cultures. The Tra Su Bird Sanctuary is an excellent place to soak up some of the countries' wildlife while walking up to the nearby Sam Mountain is an excellent way to explore the country's religion with dozens of Buddhist pagodas, temples, and monuments. If you're interested in Vietnam and Cambodia's wildlife, take a Mekong River Cruise - it's the best way to see the greatest variety of wildlife. Hannah and Nur got the gist of what we wanted our trip to be. They got us in hotels that were located centrally to historic tours. Tours and excursions that were significant, enriching and enjoyable. We had drivers that were on time/reliable. We got from location to location with ease. I would never have been able to plan this myself. I would not have known enough to ask for what we needed. This was above and beyond what I expected. Well done!
