El Chillo Lodge is a comfortable lodge in Chachapoyas area. This attractive hacienda has a strategic location in the Utcubamba canyon, from where you can explore Kuelap, Revash, Leymebamba and its mummy museum, etc.
It offers 18 rustic and charming rooms where you will rest with comfort. The rooms have electricity and private baths with hot water. A dining room supplies travelers with delicious food. Enjoy the fresh cold water pool, attractive surrounding and gardens filled with colorful hummingbirds.
The Chillo is run by the Arces, a friendly local family who works hard to offer travelers personal and warm service. Ms. Ada Arce will prepare the delicious meals with fresh ingredients. Special dietary needs may be accomodated. Mr. Oscar Arce is an expert in the area who loves his native Chachapoyas. In addition, he is a superb storyteller - relax at this comfortable lodge and enjoy a conversation with him.
This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.

I spoke with at least a half dozen other travel companies, looking for a Galapagos cruise that fit our schedule and budget. Some companies could manage one or the other, but Erin was the only one who could do both. She found us the perfect cruise, at a fantastic price! And she has been quick and patient with responses to my many questions. So far, Adventure Life has been a fantastic company to work with!
